Short Description
A powered mobile hoist which may be used to lift and transfer a person to and from a bed, chair, or the floor. Features a twin- mast design for stability. Available in one model with a range of spreader bars [including a powered tilting frame]. Is suitable for domestic and institutional use, with a lifting capacity of 170kg. A range of slings and accessories are available.

More Details
MATERIALS: Powder coated steel.

BASE: The U- shaped base has powered leg adjustment via the hand controller. The Maxi Twin has been designed to integrate with other Arjo products like the bath and shower chairs.

MAST: Features a twin- mast design for improved stability and weight distribution. Each mast can be used as handles, thus allowing the attendant to assume a comfortable working position.

BOOM: Features a single, curved boom that provides an arced lift.

SPREADER BAR: 1. Two- Point Spreader Bars is available in three sizes that can interchanged easily using the Quick Release Pin:
. small - suitable for smaller adults and children and generally used with Arjo toilet loop and quick fit slings.
. medium - can be used with a wide range of the Arjo slings.
. large - suitable for larger adults and generally used with Arjo general purpose and universal hammock slings.

2. Four- Point DPS [Dynamic Positioning System] is a tilting spreader bar featuring an open- style design to improve comfort for the user. Used with the Arjo clip slings.

3. Four- Point Powered DPS offers the same benefits as the mechanical version, however can be operated electrically via the hand control.

SLINGS: Slings are ordered separately. Large range of Arjo slings available for various lifting situations, and are suitable for use with this hoist. Please note that different slings types are required for the two- point [i.e. loop] and four- point [i.e. clip] spreader bars.

CONTROLS: To raise and lower, and tilt the person in the sling, a hand held, remote unit on an extendable, flexible cord is used. If required, the control can be placed in a special holder on the spreader bar or actuator.

POWER: The hoist is operated by a 2.5 NiMH battery. The actuator, emergency stop, and manual lowering device are integrated into one compact motor unit located between the twim masts.

BATTERIES: Supplier states the batteries can be charged at any time, irrespective of power level. A buzzing sound indicates when the battery needs to be recharged.

CASTORS: Standard: 100mm front and rear foot- operated, lockable castors.
Option: Low height front castors [75mm] for easy access under low heights.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: It is recommended that prior to using this product, training in manual handling and the correct use of assistive devices should be undertaken.

SAFETY: Features emergency stop and manual emergency lowering device. Powered DPS provides a lock mechanism for maintaining the person being moved in a required position.

WARRANTY: 12 months.
