Short Description
An electric wheelchair and scooter breakdown service which is provided to RACQ members and non members throughout Queensland country areas. However, there needs to be a RACQ service depot contractor within approximately 20kms of the persons location. RACQ will attend to the call within 24 hours. People requiring emergency assistance should call the local RACQ Breakdown Service.

ELIGIBILITY: Service is offered to all community members in electric wheelchairs.
FEATURES: Response rate is quicker if the individual is a member of the RACQ.
COMMENTS: The service is free of charge to members of the community and is provided as a community service. RACQ will only do minor mechanical repairs on manual or powered wheelchairs (eg fuses, electrical connections, change tyres, charge batteries). They will not obtain spare parts or transport the wheelchair for repairs. However they will help the client to arrange further assistance.
