Short Description
A combination of a foam contoured base with a deep pelvic cut out area with the option of an air or fluid pad insert, for pressure reduction. The supplier states it is designed for a user at high risk of developing pressure areas and a moderate to high need for positioning. A range of options and sizes and are available for an adult or child. The cushion can be customised.

FEATURES
The J3 Cushion's pelvic loading area is shaped and sized to evenly distribute pressure under the pelvis. The pelvic loading area is available in three sizes. It can be sized to fit the user's pelvis regardless of the overall cushion width.

MATERIALS
The foam base is made from a lightweight, moulded, moisture resistant dense foam. The insert is available in four options:
� Single valve Roho Dry Flotation air section - immersion in the air section allows pressure to be distributed over a large surface area.
� Dual valve Roho Dry Flotation air section - provides immersion and oblique stability as each section can be locked separately.
� Factory Filled JAY Flow fluid pad - for symmetrical postures and stable conditions where fluid volume is pre-established and standard.
� Field Variable JAY Flow fluid pad - for more individualised evaluations to determine desired fluid volume and to accommodate changing needs.
The pleating geometric design of the fluid pads help to increase immersion and envelopment. The pleats create a greater surface area on the top of the pad and they expand to accommodate the users shape, while preventing the fluid from moving out of place.

COVER
The J3 cushion features three cover options:
� Stretch
� 3DX Microclimatic Spacer Fabric
� Incontinent resistant
All three covers feature a pleating design to prevent compromising the J3's pressure relieving properties. The 3DX outer cover has an underlying reticulated foam layer that assists to protect the skin against heat and moisture build up by providing ventilation. This cover is breathable, washable and removable.

ADJUSTMENT
The J3 cushion is available with a multitude of modification options. Lateral thigh supports are standard. Extra lateral thigh supports, medial thigh support (pommel) and lateral pelvic supports are optional.
Optional custom modifications include:
� Increased cushion height.
� Pelvic loading area location.
� Underfills and overfills - remove or add fluid to create appropriate immersion.
� Positioning components - customise or angle positioning components.
� Obliquity underfills or overfills - adds or removes fluid in one of the 3 fluid pad segments to handle obliquities.
� Notch for rails - material can be removed from cushion to lower cushion between the wheelchair seat rails.
� Notch for back cane - material can be added or removed to adjust the location the cushion lines up against the back cane.
� Leg length cut - different lengths can be cut into the cushion with a custom cover.
� Contracture cut - the cushion angle can be cut 20 to 45 degrees.
� Leg Trough Cut - This can improve positioning (1 inch cut is standard). This modification can be used to increase the depth of the cushion to support the femurs.
� Custom Drop Seat - Adds a solid hinge system to be able to place the cushion below the seat rails and lower seat to floor height.
� Embroidery - can be added to personalize the cushion or for identification purposes.
� Change Length or Width - customizes the size of the cushion by removing or adding material with a custom cover.
