Short Description
The Invacare Flo-tech solution cushion uses a combination of a slimmer shaped foam cushion base and a dual layer of gel sacs over the ischial and sacral area. A pommel at the front of the cushion separates the thighs and encourages good posture. A removable, two-way stretch, fluid resistant, vapour permeable cover is provided with the cushion. The supplier states that the cushion is appropriate for a user at high risk of developing pressure areas. Available in a range of sizes the cushion is suitable for both children and adults.

MATERIALS
The cushion has a moulded foam base and a large gel sac which covers the entire top surface of the cushion. An additional layer of gel is incorporated under the ischial and sacral area to further enhance the pressure reducing qualities of this cushion. A high quality resilient foam is used to ensure high levels of pressure reduction and longevity of the product.
COVER
A range of cushion covers are available, each of which is removable and features two-way stretch, fluid resistance and vapour permeable and has an anti-slip base. A handle on the base of the cushion is available as an option. Covers are available in standard PU fluid resistant material, black smooth and fluid resistant fabric and towelling.
FEATURES
The cushion features a slimline foam base which some users report is more compatible with daily living activities. A pommel at the front of the cushion separates the thighs, encouraging good posture and allows air to circulate. It also prevents the knees from rubbing together. A contoured seating surface offers improved stability and postural support and a greater degree of weight distribution.
A sag compensator feature is available designed to accommodate the sag in wheelchair seats.
ADJUSTMENT
The cushion is available in 44 sizes to suit individual users needs. A range of cushion covers are available to accommodate a broad range of user requirements.
APPLICATION
The supplier states that this cushion is appropriate for users at a high risk of developing pressure areas.
CLEANING
The cover should be laundered at a temperature in excess of 80 degrees celcius and then tumble drying on a low heat setting. Do not use bleaches or solvents.
