Short Description
A flexible cushion gel overlay made from a visco elastic polymer in a grid construction. Available in two sizes.
More Details
MATERIALS: Akton grids are made from Akton dry viscoelastic polymer - not a gel, not a powder, not a liquid. Manufacturer states that its unusual properties provide the best in shear and pressure protection. No other pad is made from this substance.

- self healing if punctured
CUSTOMISED FEATURES: Size may be made to order
APPLICATION: This cushion works better when coupled with foam.
The supplier states that the cushion is appropriate for a person at low risk of developing pressure areas when used on it`s own.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: - conforms to body shape, does not allow user to "bottom out".

COMMENTS: Due to shock absorbing properties of Akton, these pads have been shown to be effective in driver rehabilitation.
The grid channels provide ventilation and drainage.
