Short Description
Two models of cushions made from Akton dry viscoelastic polymer and available in a range of sizes. The supplier states that the cushions are appropriate for a person at low to high risk (depending on model) of developing pressure areas. Size can be customised.

MATERIALS: Action pads are made from Akton dry viscoelastic polymer - not a gel, not a powder, not a liquid. Manufacturer states that it's unusual properties provide the best in shear and pressure protection. No other pad is made from this substance.

- easily cleaned with disinfectant
- won't absorb body fluids
- x-ray translucient
- reusable, durable, repairable
- fire rated as self-extinguishing
- self healing if punctured

COVER: Knit cover with slip resistant material on base and carrying loops. Available in blue or black.

APPLICATION: The supplier states that the cushion is appropriate for a person at moderate to high risk of developing pressure areas (Pilot)

POINTS TO CONSIDER: - conforms to body shape, does not allow user to "bottom out".

COMMENTS: Due to shock absorbing properties of Akton, these pads have been shown to be effective in driver rehabilitation.
