Short Description
A mid wheel drive, rigid frame powered wheelchair suitable for children. Available with upholstered seat, adjustable armrests, foot support and programmable controller. 30 degrees of recline is a feature on the standard seat and there is a choice of more supportive or adjustable seats. Powered seating functions including tilt in space, backrest recline and elevating leg rests are available. Suitable for indoor use. Available in a range of seat sizes.

The motorized wheelchair is to be used only by the registered operator who:
1) Has a doctor's certificate stating that due to movement impairment they have a need to use the wheelchair for assisted travel.
2) Is capable of safely operating the wheelchair.
3) Will abide by the Queensland road rules.

FRAME: Aluminium frame.
UPHOLSTERY:
Standard: synthetic material.
Options: will depend on seating system chosen. Can include breathable waterproof two way stretch fabrics, and plush fabric.
SEAT:
Standard: Synergy seat with slung back and seat board. adjustable for growth and able to be fitted with most seating products. Not able to be fitted with seat tilt.
Options:
Euro padded seat 480mm wide. Can be supplied with powered tilt in space seat to 30 degrees, and powered recline.
Euro Sling Seat: Nylon slung back with solid seat board and 5 cm cushion.
Deluxe high back padded seat.
Versa tilt seat, sliding centre of gravity/weight shift tilt system, up to 65 degrees tilt. Comes complete with curved padded back, seat base board and 5 cm seat cushion. Also adjustable for growth and able to be fitted with some seating products by other manufacturers.
BACKREST:
Standard: 30 degrees manual recline.
Option: powered recline, powered tilt in space.
HEADREST: Available in large or small size.

Standard: flip back full length. Can be cane mounted or 2 pole design. Choice between straight or waterfall (tapering towards ground) arm rest pads.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
A license is not required for a rider in an exempt motor chair (electric wheelchair) which is limited to a maximum speed of 10km/h. The rider of the wheelchair is considered a pedestrian and road rules apply as for pedestrians.
All motorized wheelchairs need to be registered. This also includes wheelchairs that use the footpath, cross roads or drive on the side of the road where the footpath is unsuitable. Motorized wheelchairs may be registered to an individual or to an organization. In the instance of a paediatric client using a powered wheelchair the client's parent/guardian would be required to register the wheelchair on behalf of the client. Organizations registering motorized wheelchairs may include nursing homes, shopping centers, education institutions and hire companies. A motorized wheelchair must be registered to be eligible for third party insurance which is optional. There are no fees for registration or compulsory third party (CTP) insurance for motorized wheelchairs.
When registering a motorized wheelchair for the first time, the applicant must provide a doctor`s letter/certificate/statement stating that due to severe movement impairment they need the use of a motorized wheelchair for assisted travel. A doctor's certificate/letter/statement must be provided each time a different motorized wheelchair is registered.
