Sporster SE

Short Description
An Israeli made heavy duty outdoor scooter. The scooter is able to travel up to 60km dependant on battery condition and terrain and has a special feature warning sytem for low batteries. The scooter has large pneumatic tyres capable of mounting some obstacles and a full lighting and indicator system. A two seater model is also available.

Additional Information
Sections 288 and 289 of the Queensland road rules state that scooters with a tare weight of over 110kgs (tare is weight of scooter without user seated on it), are restricted from riding on paths and nature strips. Motorized scooters that use the footpath, cross roads or drive on the side of the road where the footpath is unsuitable must be registered.

The motorized scooter is to be used only by the registered operator who:
1) Has a doctors certificate stating that due to movement impairment they have a need to use the scooter for assisted travel.
2) Is capable of safely operating the wheelchair.
3) Will abide by the Queensland road rules.

SEAT: Adjustable with integrated shock absorber. Larger seats are available. Seats can be altered to be further forward or back or up 60mm higher. Five locking positions.

HANDLE/S: Multiadjustable handle bars which can be adjusted for height and angle.

CONTROLS: Lever style proportional control. Can be mounted on the left or right handle bar. Emergency front hand brake. 125 A cooled

MOTORS: 1 hp (normal). Compressed air cooling.

BATTERIES: 70 Ah batteries [70/ 90 Ah batteries for the porter only].

CHARGER: 24 V 5A, electronic, automatic.

WHEELS: Die cast. Alloy rims, pneumatic tyres.
Front wheels: 2.75 x 10"
Rear wheels: 2.75 x 14"

BRAKES: Electromagnetic with emergency hand/park brake.

FEATURES: Full lighting system with head and tail lights, indicators and hazard lights.

DISMANTLING: Dismantles into single component including push button, removable rear wheels.

OPTIONS: Sun canopy, wider deluxe seat, left hand controls, two seat model, lambswool seat covers, sealed batteries.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 800mm x 1300mm.
According to Queensland Transport rules there is only one occupant allowed per scooter.

MAINTENANCE: All scooters require regular maintenance. Please refer to User Manual for specific details.

WARRANTY: 12 months.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
A licence is not required for a rider in an exempt motor chair (electric wheelchair or scooter) which is limited to a maximum speed of 10km/h. The rider of the scooter is considered a pedestrian and road rules apply as for pedestrians.

All motorized scooters need to be registered. This also includes scooters that use the footpath, cross roads or drive on the side of the road where the footpath is unsuitable.
A scooter must be registered to be eligible for third party insurance which is optional.
