Short Description
A powered scooter suitable for outdoor use. Three and four wheeled models available, as well as a golf and wide seat model. It has the appearance of a motorbike. Features wide tyres and motorbike style suspension. Fully adjustable swivel seat and tiller. Headlights and indicators are standard. A range of accessories is available.

Additional Information
Sections 288 and 289 of the Queensland road rules state that scooters with a tare weight of over 110kgs (tare is weight of scooter without user seated on it), are restricted from riding on paths and nature strips. Motorized scooters that use the footpath, cross roads or drive on the side of the road where the footpath is unsuitable must be registered.

The motorized scooter is to be used only by the registered operator who:
1) Has a doctors certificate stating that due to movement impairment they have a need to use the scooter for assisted travel.
2) Is capable of safely operating the wheelchair.
3) Will abide by the Queensland road rules.

More Details
UPHOLSTERY: Black vinyl seat.

SEAT: Adjustable seat depth, width, height. Headrest is standard. Has a swivel and slide mechanism. Slide lever is located under the right hand side of the seat, while the swivel is activated by lifting the lever located under the centre of the seat.

ARMRESTS: Height and width adjustable, flip up.

CONTROLS: The control panel features display lights that indicate battery charge, lights on off, indicators, hazard lights, and full or half speed. The lights, hazard lights and indicators are located on the left steering handle. To disengage the indicators move the lever half way to the opposite indicator side. To free wheel the scooter when it is turned on, press the lever located on the top of the right hand side steering handle. When the scooter is not turned on, the lever located under the right hand rear wheel cowling is used to disengage the motor.

WHEELS: Alloy, pneumatic tyres.
Front: 890 mm x 1530 mm
Rear: 880 mm x 2500 mm

FEATURES: Obstacle climbing up to 120 mm, therefore can manage most gutters.

ADJUSTMENT: The tiller can be adjusted to three positions by pulling out the lever located on the right hand side of the tiller

TRANSPORTATION: Does not fully dismantle for transportation. Requires a ramp to transport into low floor vehicle as the scooter is long, and high.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 800mm x 1300mm.

SAFETY: If accelerator is fully depressed, motor will cut out.

MAINTENANCE: All scooters require regular maintenance. Refer to User Manual for specific details.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
A licence is not required for a rider in an exempt motor chair (electric wheelchair or scooter) which is limited to a maximum speed of 10km/h. The rider of the scooter is considered a pedestrian and road rules apply as for pedestrians.

All motorized scooters need to be registered. This also includes scooters that use the footpath, cross roads or drive on the side of the road where the footpath is unsuitable.
A scooter must be registered to be eligible for third party insurance which is optional.
