HS 320

Short Description
A compact, rear wheeled drive scooter. Available in a three and four wheeled model. Features thumb operated controls, headlight, swivel seat, and folding backrest. This scooter has a metal frame with a short wheel base for increased manoeuvrability. It is designed primarily for indoor use. It has a separate off-board charger and a range of accessories are available.

Additional Information
The motorized scooter is to be used only by the registered operator who:
1) Has a doctors certificate stating that due to movement impairment they have a need to use the scooter for assisted travel.
2) Is capable of safely operating the wheelchair.
3) Will abide by the Queensland road rules.

More Details
FRAME: Epoxy coated reinforced steel frame, moulded plastic cowlings and textured rubber slip resistant footrest.

UPHOLSTERY: Premium padded upholstery

SEAT: Adjustment forward and back. Swivels to enable transfers.

BACKREST: padded medium backrest that folds for dismantling.

ARMREST: Flip back armrests with width adjustment.

WHEELS: 9" grey rubber pneumatic front and rear wheels.

CONTROLS: Standard: Thumb operated drive controls for forward and reverse. Instrument panel includes button press horn, dial speed control and indicator to show battery level. Tiller angle is adjusted by turning a cam screw at the base of the tiller, and as the tiller is pushed to new setting it locks into position automatically.
Options: Delta handle bar.

BATTERIES: Two 12V batteries stored under the plastic cowling. One piece battery pack module.

MOTOR: Driven by a 250W, 4400RPM, 0.75 hp electric motor

TRANSPORTATION or DISMANTLING: Lift off seat and fold tiller down onto platform. One piece platform section does not `break` for transport.
Lift lever at back of scooter body to disengage the motor for freewheeling.

COLOURS: Blue, silver and red.

SEAT: Standard low back, vinyl upholstered seat. Features lift up armrests which can be adjusted in width, and a backrest that folds down against the seat for transport.

ARMRESTS: Standard: Lift-up armrests with closed cell foam padded upholstery.
Options: Height adjustable armrests.

WHEELS: Standard: 220mm diameter with grey pneumatic tyres.
Options: Solid tyres.

CHARGER: Separate battery charger plugs into charging socket on the tiller.

BRAKES: Electromagnetic brakes engage automatically when the thumb control lever is released.

COLOURS: Red, silver and green.

FEATURES: Anti-tip wheels at rear.
Reflectors at side and rear.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: The space allowed on public transport for carrying mobility equipment is an area of 800mm x 1300mm.

Warranty
Free service at 6 months. Standard warranty is 12 months. Warranty extended to parts only for 2 years, if the scooter is serviced by Mobile Independence, the authorised service provider, at 6 monthly intervals.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
A licence is not required for a rider in an exempt motor chair (electric wheelchair or scooter) which is limited to a maximum speed of 10km/h. The rider of the scooter is considered a pedestrian and road rules apply as for pedestrians.

All motorized scooters need to be registered. This also includes scooters that use the footpath, cross roads or drive on the side of the road where the footpath is unsuitable.
A scooter must be registered to be eligible for third party insurance which is optional.
