Short Description
A rear wheel drive battery powered wheelchair with rear suspension and high torque motors. It features a rigid steel frame with solid padded seat and backrest with headrest and a lap belt. The backrest is reclining. Available in one seat size only. Available as two models - with or without elevating legrests. Suitable for indoor and heavy duty outdoor use.



Additional Information
The motorized wheelchair is to be used only by the registered operator who:
1) Has a doctor's certificate stating that due to movement impairment they have a need to use the wheelchair for assisted travel.
2) Is capable of safely operating the wheelchair.
3) Will abide by the Queensland road rules.


More Details
FRAME This powerchair has a rigid frame with a plastic cog cover over the motors and batteries.
SEAT/UPHOLSTERY It comes with contoured, padded vinyl (synthetic) seat and backrest upholstery.
BACKREST The backrest is able to recline via a lever on the side and the headrest is height adjustable.
HEADREST Padded vinyl (synthetic) headrest comes as standard and is height adjustable.
ARMRESTS The armrests can lift up and are angle and width adjustable.
LEGRESTS There is an option of elevating leg rests.
FOOTPLATES The footplate on this wheelchair is a single steel unit that lifts up and is height and angle adjustable.
WHEELS The rear wheels are pneumatic and the front castors are solid rubber.
CONTROLS The controller is the Dynamic DL joystick controller. This is mounted on a swing away bracket which also allows for depth adjustment. It features a speed dial, battery indicator, tremor dampener and horn.
BATTERIES The batteries are 2 x 12 v 50 amp/hr sealed lead acid batteries that are stored under seat. The battery charger is a separate unit and the charger then plugs into joystick control.
MOTOR The motors are 180 watt, 2 pole with DC brushes.
COLOURS The cover is available in three colours, red, green or silver. .
BRAKES The brakes are automatic. The free wheel mechanism has an extended lever located on the side of the wheelchair.
ACCESSORIES include rear basket with lid, seat cushion, captain's chair with backrest adjustment, oxygen tank holder, elevating legrests, left handed control bracket, crutch holder, swing away legrests, mid-back seat with headrest, full lighting package including head and tail lights as well as turn indicators.
PERFORMANCE The powerchair can drive up inclines up to 8 degrees.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
A license is not required for a rider in an exempt motor chair (electric wheelchair) which is limited to a maximum speed of 10km/h. The rider of the wheelchair is considered a pedestrian and road rules apply as for pedestrians.

All motorized wheelchairs need to be registered. This also includes wheelchairs that use the footpath, cross roads or drive on the side of the road where the footpath is unsuitable. Motorized wheelchairs may be registered to an individual or to an organization. These organizations may include nursing homes, shopping centers, education institutions and hire companies. A scooter must be registered to be eligible for third party insurance which is optional. There are no fees for registration or compulsory third party (CTP) insurance for motorized wheelchairs.

When registering a motorized wheelchair for the first time, the applicant must provide a doctor`s letter/certificate/statement stating that due to severe movement impairment they need the use of a motorized wheelchair for assisted travel. A doctor's certificate/letter/statement must be provided each time a different motorized wheelchair is registered.
