More Details
CONTROLS: Include a joystick, speed control dial, battery charge indicator, indicator lights for faults, a green on/off button and a red flashing light to remind you to check that the manual brakes are off. The controls are programmable and the control unit has a mini key.

BATTERIES: Batteries 2 x 12v, 12 Amp sealed wet cell, stored in plastic containers suspended under the seat.
Option: High capacity battery pack with 17 Amp.

CHARGER: Battery charging is achieved by connecting the battery charger provided to a mains power point and plugging it into the chair at the marked charging terminal. A 12 volt charging cable is also available that works from the cigarette lighter socket of a car. The battery system also has a processor controlled regenerative motor brake that feeds energy back into the battery every time the brake operates. This allows for a smaller sized battery to be used.

WHEELS: Rear wheels are available in several sizes. Pneumatic tyres with chrome handrims.

BRAKES: Brakes are electromagnetic, with manual parking brakes.

FREEWHEELING: Mechanism is operated by rotating the light touch wheel on the rear wheel hubs.

FEATURES: The E Fix kit consists of two quick release rear wheels that replace the existing wheels. A bracket attaches to the rear of the wheelchair frame to hold the new wheels. Removable anti tip bars also attach to the bracket. They swingout of the way when backing up a curb. The motor is situated in the hub of each rear wheel which enables the wheels to be individually controlled and driven. A microprocessor within each motor unit continuously checks the system for faults and displays a red light on the control panel if one is found. The motor consists of magnets and coils which results in no wear and tear. The battery pack is slung under the seat in a carrying pouch, secured by Velcro straps for easy removal.

TRANSPORTATION: Transporting is achieved by putting wheels into freewheel and removing the quick release wheels, disconnecting the battery and releasing the Velcro straps to remove it. The control unit can be slid off the bracket and disconnected. The wheelchair can then be folded as usual, removing armrests and footplates as necessary.
