Short Description
A manual wheelchair with a folding stainless steel frame. It is self propelled using a rear wheel drive action and is suitable for large children and adults. The wheelchair is available in seven seat widths and has a single axle position. The backrest reclines and the legrests elevate. A range of accessories is available. Can be customised.
More Details
FRAME: Standard: Folding frame made from polished stainless steel. Epoxy coated aluminium cross brace with lockout option. This allows the wheelchair to provide a firm base for use of pressure or posture management cushions and inserts.
UPHOLSTERY: Standard: Heavy duty Nylex vinyl with a double layer of Breezway reinforcing inside.
Options: Cordura upholstery.
SEAT: Standard: Slung style. Available in seven seat widths. The seat depth can be customised.
Options: Solid seat board, padded solid seat.
BACKREST: Standard: Slung style. The backrest reclines by an attendant using bike style brake levers and cables positioned on the rear of the backrest under the push handles. The backrest has five angle adjustments. There is a choice of four backrest extensions (100, 200, 300 or 400mm).
HEADREST: Standard: Removable headrest.
ARMRESTS: Standard: The extra long and extra wide armrests are designed to provide support in the reclined positioned. They are removable and epoxy coated armrests with moulded padding and aluminium clothing guards.
LEGRESTS: Standard: Stainless steel swing away and removable legrests. The legrests elevate and have calf pads.
Options: Telescopic legrests, stump support, calf sling.
FOOTPLATES: Standard: Two piece, lift up.
Options: Heel loops, larger aluminium footplates.
WHEELS: Standard: Pneumatic tyres with chrome push rims.
Options: Aluminium rims, puncture resistant tyres, quick release wheels, projection push rims, 20mm wider push rims.
CASTORS: Standard: Plastic spoked microcellular castors.
Options: Microcellular wide castor tyres, pneumatic castor tyres.
BRAKES: Standard: Toggle style operated with a lever.
Options: Brake lever extension.
CUSTOMISED FEATURES: Can be made to individual specifications for additional cost, including reinforcement. Reinforcement involves triple cross over, back to seat gusset, reinforced swingouts, reinforced upholstery using seatbelt webbing on the front and back of seat and top and bottom of backrest.
MAINTENANCE: All wheelchairs require regular maintenance. Refer to User Manual for specific details.
