Invacare Solara 3G Tilt-in-Space Wheelchair

Short Description
A customisable, fixed frame manual wheelchair with tilt-in-space function. It is an attendant propelled wheelchair suitable for adults and children. The wheelchair is available in multiple seat widths and colour choices. A range of accessories is available. Can be customised.

More Details
FRAME
The wheelchair is rigid and has a powder coated, steel frame with a choice of 15 colours and three finishes. The chair has aluminium or steel reinforced back canes, a fold down back, hand rims, cross-bracing and rear anti-tippers.

MECHANISM
The tilt function uses hydraulic locking cylinders and a "positive lock" mechanism to operate. It also has a tilt angle indicator so the user can identify the angle of tilt.

Tilt:
Available with either a hand release which is activated by squeezing a lever located underneath the push handles or a cable-free foot release which is activated by pressing down the lever located either on the left of the right of the rear wheels.

SEAT
A solid seat pan is standard and comes with the option of flush or drop mounting. The seat pans are able to be adjusted in width without the need for extra hardware. There are 6 seating system options available with the Solara, but after market products can also be fitted.

UPHOLSTERY
No upholstery (seat or backrest) is standard. The Solara is intended for use in conjunction with rehab style seating systems. Upholstered backrests are available as an option, as well as 6 after market backrest and seating options.

BACKREST
The Solara comes with aluminium back canes as standard and has steel reinforced back canes as an option. There is no backrest as standard, but an upholstered backrest is optional. The back angle is adjustable and has 30 degrees of adjustment in five-degree increments. A reclining backrest is also available. A 24" back cane is an option which is suitable for after-market back hardware. Push handle extensions are available. 6 alternative rehab style backrests are available.

HEADREST
No headrest as standard. Stealth headrests are available.

ARMRESTS
They are removable and adjustable in relation to height. They are full or desk length and padded and have a steel side guard as standard. Adjustable height, cantilever and -Arms are also available.

LEGREST
The legrests are 90 degree, removable, height adjustable, swing away and flip up as standard. Options include angle (60, 70 or 80 degree) and elevation adjustability. Also available with elevating and centre-pivoting articulating legrests.

FOOTPLATES
Footplates are composite as standard. Other options are aluminium, extra large foot plates and bilateral contracture footrests. The bilateral contracture foot-plates offer inversion and eversion while both the platform and foot plates can be adjusted laterally the full width of the chair. A range of footrest accessories are also available.

WHEELS
Wheels are available in 304.8mm(12"), 406.4mm(16"), 457.2mm(18"), 508mm(20"), 558.8mm(22") and 609.6mm(24) with urethane treaded tires as standard. Pneumatic tires and flat free inserts are optional. The chair comes with standard wheel locks.

CASTORS
The castors are composite urethane in 101.6mm(4"), 127mm(5"), 152.4mm(6") and 203.2mm(8") and semi pneumatic in 127mm(5") are standard options.
Aluminium soft roll in 101.6mm(4"), 127mm(5") and 152.4mm(6"), aluminium urethane in 127mm(5") and semi pneumatic in 152.4mm(6") are also available.

CUSTOMISATION
The centre of gravity is customisable from front to mid or rear.

COLOURS
15 colour choices are available.

BRAKES
Push or pull to lock wheel locks come as standard. other options include: foot, cane or seat rail mounted wheel hub locks.
