Short Description
A plastic framed wheelchair with plastic reinforced wheels suitable for use in wet areas, eg shower, hydrotherapy or swimming pool. Available in a non folding model.

More Details
FRAME: PVC piping and fittings. Treated against UV radiation. Available in beige or white.

UPHOLSTERY: Waterproof vinyl coated polyester fibre fabric. The upholstery on the Platypus wheelchair is available in a jacaranda colour.

SEAT: Slung seat.

BACKREST: Slung seat, fixed position.

ARMRESTS: Hinged, swing back.

LEGRESTS: Part of main frame.

FOOTRESTS: One piece. Height adjustable using telescopic spring clip operation. Folds up.

WHEELS: Wheels are constructed from Zytel, ie a strong reinforced plastic. Standard tyre colour is grey although different colours are available on special request.

CASTORS: Marine grade stainless steel.

BRAKES: Lever operation. Brake handle height can be specified.

OPTIONS: Pop off wheels, push rims, lap belt (attached or separate), harness, straight leg attachment, stainless steel castors - for saltwater use.

AREAS FOR USE: Waterproof and rust resistant. Suitable for use in wet areas, eg shower, hydrotherapy or swimming pool.
