Short Description
This manual wheelchair is designed to be either self or attendant propelled. The frame is made from anodised aluminium tubing with neoprene covers and seat. The wheelchair is available in three sizes. It is an all terrain wheelchair designed for use at the beach or on snow or ice. When used in the water the Hippocampe floats. The backrest is folding for compact storage and the wheelchair can be dismantled and packed in a travel bag.

FRAME
A folding anodised aluminium tube frame that has been treated for marine environments. It is sheathed in a neoprene foam which prevents the tube from heating in the sun. The frame folds into a compact shape and has a carry bag option.
SEAT
The solid seat is made of closed-cell water-resistance foam (it does not fill with water when immersed).
UPHOLSTERY
The seat and backrest are both made of closed-cell water resistant foam.
BACKREST
The backrest is height adjustable and can be easily folded at the seat level when the wheelchair is dismantled. The backrest is solid and made of closed-cell water resistant foam. There is a single U-shaped push handle which is anodised aluminium.
ARMRESTS
Full length, padded, removable, armrests. They are able to be folded and pivot away for transfers.
LEGREST
Fixed legrests - not adjustable in length. Single legrest unit, tapered and joined to the front wheel base. Comes in three lengths (Small, Medium, and Large).
FOOTPLATES
One piece footboard made from closed-cell foam.
WHEELS
The wheelchair has one low pressure pneumatic front wheel and two pneumatic rear all-terrain wheels. The rear wheels allow the user to self propel, but do not have pushrims. The single wheel axle is stainless steel without ball bearings. The wheels are quick release.
BRAKES
A pivoting brake system is located under the wheelchair seat.
HEADREST
A multi-position adjustable headrest is available as an option.
HARNESS
A neoprene chest harness which attaches to the rear struts of the wheelchair is available as an option.
ACCESSORIES
A ski-kit, carry bag and backrest mounted bag are available.
MAINTENANCE
All wheelchairs require regular maintenance. Refer to User Manual for specific details.

One year warranty on parts and labour.
