Short Description
A manual wheelchair with a folding stainless steel frame. It is self propelled using a one arm drive action and is suitable for adults. The wheelchair is available in three seat widths and has a single axle position. There is a choice of armrests. A range of accessories is available.

FRAME: Standard: Folding frame made from stainless steel. Single cross brace. Tipping levers at rear for assisted kerb mounting.
Options: Anti tip bars with rollers.

UPHOLSTERY: Vinyl or corduroy.

SEAT: Standard: Slung style. Available in three seat widths.
Options: Removable cushioned seat board, slide in seat board.

BACKREST: Standard: Slung style.
Options: Backrest extension (100, 200, 300 or 400mm), removable cushioned back board, slide in back board, upholstery tightener.

ARMRESTS: Standard: Full length, removable armrests with press button locking release mechanism. Aluminium with vinyl upholstered padding. Clothing guards.
Options: Desk length armrests, armrest trough, adjustable height armrests (full length or desk length), wool arm pad.

LEGRESTS: Standard: Stainless steel swing away removable legrests. Adjustable in length. Calf straps.
Options: Calf sling, vertical legrests, elevating legrests with calf pads, stump support (230, 300 or 400mm).

FOOTPLATES: Standard: Two piece, lift up, aluminium footplates.
Options: One piece footplate, footplate adaptor (closes gap between footplates), heel loops.

WHEELS: Standard: Pneumatic rear wheels. Stainless steel push rims.
Options: Puncture resistant tyres, solid rubber tyres, spoke guards.

CASTORS: Standard: Microcellular castors.
Options: Pneumatic castors.

BRAKES: Standard: Dual toggle brakes operated with a lever.
Options: Brake lever extension.

ADJUSTMENT: Seat belt (plastic buckle or car type buckle), carry bag (rear or under seat), crutch/walking stick holder, IV pole attachment, oxygen bottle carrier, tray, lateral supports, hip guides, wool covers.

ONE ARM DRIVE: The type of one arm drive mechanism which is available with this wheelchair is called a twin rim. The driving wheels are linked so that either wheel or both can be controlled from a dual set of push rims which are positioned on one wheel only. One push rim has a slightly smaller diameter than the other and is positioned on the outside of the larger push rim. When one push rim is moved independently of the other, only one wheel is driven and will cause the wheelchair to turn. (The outer push rim controls the wheel on the opposite side. The inner push rim controls the wheel on the same side). When both push rims are moved together, both large wheels are driven simultaneously and the wheelchair will move forward.
