Short Description
A rigid aluminium frame wheelchair available in two models, the GPV compact everyday wheelchair with V-tuck front, and the GPV Comp with more compact front end and squeeze frame made to measure. The wheelchair is available in a number of seat widths with either an adjustable height, folding backrest or fixed height backrest. A range of accessories is available.

FRAME: GPV is standard rigid frame with option to order as a squeeze frame (ie. seat rail not parallel to bottom rail, but slopes down toward backrest creating a `bucket` type seat). GPV Comp is standard rigid squeeze frame made to measurements specified by user on the order form. Frame is made of aluminium. Rear anti tip bars are an option.
SEAT: Standard slung style seat with the option of a 50mm Jay Basic cushion. Seat upholstery is retensionable.
BACKREST: Slung nylon backrest without push handles is standard. Choose either a folding adjustable, or fixed backrest. Folding backs come in four height adjustment ranges 280-360mm, 300-400mm, 360-460mm, and 400-500mm. Fixed height backs can be ordered in the 200-400mm height range in 25mm increments.
A folding backrest with integral push handles, bolt on push handles or stroller handles are also available.
ARMRESTS: Armrests are not included in the price of either chair, but several options are available. The GPV model has height adjustable armrests with desk length or full length arm pad, or padded swing away armrests. The GPV Comp has the option to fit padded swing away armrests.
LEGRESTS: Legrests are part of the front frame. 70 degree front frame tapers in a v-shape on the GPV. 80 degree front frame with tighter v-shape on the GPV Comp.
FOOTPLATES: The GPV has as standard, a rigid tubular footplate with leg straps. Options: platform style footrest, separate composite lift up footplates, foam padded tube style lift up footplates, angle adjustable footplates, flip-up platform, or 90 degree footboard.
The GPV Comp has as standard a platform footrest with leg strap.
Neoprene impact guards are optional on both chairs.
WHEELS: The GPV has a choice of 560 mm (22") mag and 610mm (24") mag or spoked rear wheels with pneumatic tyres as standard. Options: 560 mm (22") spoke or 650mm (26") spoked rear wheels. Tyre options: Pneumatic tyres with airless insert, full polyurethane tyres, low polyurethane tyres, Kevlar tyres, high pressure clincher tyres, latex tubular tyres, turbo tread tyres.
The GPV Comp has 600mm (24") standard or tennis wheels and 650mm (26") basketball wheels as standard. A choice of standard pneumatic tyres, low profile polyurethane, high pressure clincher and turbo tread tyres is included in the purchase price, but other tyre choices above are optional upgrades.
Hand rim is anodised aluminium. Options: Plastic coated hand rim, hand rims with 8 or 12 oblique and 8 or 12 vertical projections.
Wheels mount to an adjustable axle plate which allows adjustment 50mm vertical, 75mm centre of gravity, and 0-12 degrees of cambar. An amputee extended axle plate is also available.
CASTORS: GPV standard 125mm (5") castors, poly or 150mm (6") castors, semi pneumatic (poly).
Optional 75mm (3") micro or light up, 100mm (4") poly or light up, 125mm (5") soft roll, 125mm x 38mm (5" x 1.5") semi pneumatic (poly), 150mm (6") pneumatic, 150mm x 38mm (6" x 1.5") semi pneumatic at an extra cost.
GPV Comp standard 75mm (3") micro castors, or 125mm (5") low profile polyurethane castors. Optional 75mm (3") light up, 100mm (4") poly or light up, 125mm x 38mm (5" x 1.5") semi pneumatic, 125mm (5") soft roll at an extra cost.
Castor fork stem available in 20mm (3/4") or 38mm (1.5").
Options: castor pin locks, quick release castor stems at an extra cost.
MAINTENANCE: All wheelchairs require regular maintenance. Refer to User Manual for specific details.
