Short Description
An inflatable therapy ball which can be used as a seat. Designed for use at a desk, for example when working on a computer. Supplier states that it assists the user to maintain an improved sitting posture by discouraging slumping.

MATERIALS: Duralon.

METHOD OF USE:
The supplier states that slumping while seated on the therapy ball is discouraged as it increases the balls instability. In order to centre the body mass over the ball and provide a stable pelvis on which to balance the upper body, the user needs to maintain an upright posture. This encourages an "S" shape back.
The surface tension and curve of the MediBall adjusts to the user`s weight and tilts the pelvis gently forward.
The slight instability of the MediBall stimulates the sensory reflexes, tightens the abdominal muscles and activates the extensor muscles of the back. This combination makes it easier to maintain a natural upright posture through many small and often repeated corrections in order to maintain sitting balance. The continual postural corrections reduce static loading, pain and fatigue.
SAFETY: If punctured when under a 500 kg loading, the Mediball Pro will deflate slowly for user safety.
