A belt that can be used on wheelchairs and some chairs to secure a person in a sitting position.

MATERIALS: Made of strong webbing with fastex buckles.
FEATURES: The belt is secured around the person's waist and two separate straps are buckled around the back of the chair to keep the person in the chair.
METHOD OF USE: The belt can be positioned around the pelvic area over the abdomen or at waist level as required. The two side straps should be wound around the back of the chair frame near the pelvic area and fastened with the buckle. On smaller chairs it may be necessary to wind one or both straps around the leg of the chair to take up the slack. When used on a wheelchair with removable arms, make sure the straps are wrapped around the main chair frame and not around the removable sections.
PEOPLE USEFUL FOR: People who, when seated in a chair, require a restraint that can only be removed by a carer (as the fastening buckle is at the centre back of the chair).
