Short Description
Lap belt to help prevent a person falling from a chair. Designed for use on wheelchairs, dining chairs and some armchairs. This belt is fitted to the chair and normally remains in position on the chair when it is vacated. Available with a buckle closure or velcro closure. Special sizes can be customised for use on larger chairs.

MATERIALS: Woven nylon.
METHOD OF USE: Squeeze the side release buckle to undo the belt. The shorter part of the belt is attached to the chair by wrapping the strap around the top of the chair leg or bottom of the backrest, and passing the buckle through the loop. The same method is usd to attach the other long part of the belt. Once the user is seated the buckle should be at their side. The belt can be adjusted to size at the buckle as required.
COMMENTS: . Not suitable for clients with dementia.
. As the buckle can be undone by the person, this product is considered as a safety item and not a restraint.
. Can be accessorised to provide additional support as the need arises.
SAFETY: The buckles are NOT authorised to be used in a vehicle. Do not attach the belt to removable armrests of a chair or wheelchair.
LAUNDERING: Warm hand wash and drip dry.
