Short Description
A steel-framed recliner chair with a pressure sensitive foam seat, designed for pressure relief and to allow for a carer to easily mobilise the patient. The chair may have a manually or electrically operated gas assist reclining backrest and an attached, independently adjustable legrest. Three locking/brake castors are used with one directional castor fitted. Two models are available in multiple seat lengths and heights.

The Shoalhaven Pressure Care Recliner ensures maximum comfort for those confined to a chair, whilst allowing the carer to operate the chair with maximum safety and ease.
Frame:
The all-steel frame is ideal for castors. 100mm Hospital quality castors are used with 3 locking/brake and one directional castor fitted.
The twin push handles make movement and operation simple and are fitted as standard.
Seat:
Shoalhaven features a fully webbed seat, quality pressure-sensitive foam, shaped backrest with lumbar and lateral support and adjustable/removable wings and neckrest.
Upholstery:
The latest soft two-way stretch fabric is used on the inner contact surfaces over the pressure-sensitive foam cushion. Hard-wearing vinyls are used elsewhere, with additional protection provided by armrest bumpers. The chair is only available with a grey outer covering and blue inner contact surfaces.
Additional:
Optional Power Recline system with battery operation can also be fitted.
Optional wide-back enhances the appeal of the recliner and gives extra support to the arms and elbows when reclined.
Removable wings provide lateral support.
Adjustments:
In the electric model (AC08-0001) the recline action is operated by a handset.
In the manual model (AC08-0002) the recline action is operated by pressing the rear mounted footlever and gently pulling the handlebars. A lever operated recline lock prevents accidental movement and allows the chair and patient to be moved whilst reclined.
Customised:
The seat height and length is customisable.
