Short Description
A mobile flotation seating system for high dependency clients. It has a manoeuvrable transit base which is usable both indoors and outdoors. There are both tilt in space and reclining mechanisms. When the chair is fully reclined and the legrest is fully raised it allows the user to be in a horizontal position. Swing away head wings and armrests increase access to the user when the chair is in any position.

UPHOLSTERY: Standard: Polysoft upholstery is standard which is water resistant. Polysoft has a fire retardant and anti bacterial polyurethane coating on a two way stretch base. The fabric is breathable, elastic and resistant to temperature changes which increases user comfort.
Options: Vinyl cover.
COLOURS: Steel Blue, Ocean, Mulberry. Also Paradino Blue at additional cost.
SEAT: High density foam base on top of which is a gel filled sack. This is overlayed with convoluted (egg crate) foam and a vinyl cover. The seat has a gas assisted tilt in space mechanism which allows an attendant to tilt the seat to any angle within a range.
BACKREST: Standard: Medium density foam with two inlaid air sacks and vinyl covered. The air sacks are at a pre set level which will suit most users, but they can be adjusted by the supplier if necessary. Head wings are standard on this model and they swing down to allow easier access to the user by a carer. The backrest has a mechanism to recline it to a horizontal position, and to various positions between vertical and horizontal.
Options: Elevated push handle. Backrest extension of 200mm for taller users.
HEADREST: Cushion position at headrest is adjustable via velcro tabs. The head wings are lockable in three positions; forward, wide and backwards. When in the backwards position there is good clearance for access or transfers.
ARMRESTS: Drop down armrests for easier side access and transfers are operated by a release button on the armrest. The armrests are extended to provide continuous support when the chair is fully reclined.
LEGRESTS: Standard: The angle and length of the leg rest can be adjusted to suit various users by lever and button mechanisms at the side.
Options: Deluxe legrest with a fold away adjustable length foot support to aid in the prevention of footdrop.
CASTORS: Transit base with larger rear wheels allows for easy pushing by an attendant both indoors and outdoors.
MECHANISM: The tilt in space recline is operated by releasing the brake on the pushing handle and the chair lowered or raised to required position. The raising action is assisted by a gas strut. Legrest position is adjusted independently.
