R2500 Series

Short Description
A mobile flotation seating system for high dependency clients. It has a manoeuvrable transit base which is usable indoors. The chair has a multi positional tilting seat and an adjustable legrest. Swing away head wings and drop down armrests increase access to the user. The headrest cushion is adjustable. Covers are removable for cleaning.

UPHOLSTERY: Standard: Polysoft upholstery is standard which is water resistant. Polysoft has a fire retardant and anti bacterial polyurethane coating on a two way stretch base. The fabric is breathable, elastic and resistant to temperature changes which increases user comfort.
Options: Vinyl cover.

COLOURS: Steel Blue, Ocean, Mulberry. Also Paradino Blue at additional cost.

SEAT: High density foam base with a gel filled section over the top. Above the gel filled section is with convoluted foam and a polysoft cover.

BACKREST: Standard: The backrest has medium density foam and is inlaid with two air sacks and has a polysoft cover. The air sacks are pre set at a level which will suit most users, but they can be adjusted by the supplier if required. The backrest can recline via a manual mechanism. The chair has a single crossbar push handle.
Options: Elevated push handle. Backrest extension of 200mm for taller users.

HEADREST: A separate cushion attached by a velcro strap on the back frame. The lower edge of the cushion has a small cut out shape for the neck. Side Wings - these are covered by a removable foam padded cushion; they are attached cushions to the back frame and can be lifted and rotated to the back of the chair or removed completely to enable unrestricted side transfers.There is a choice of two positions when the side wings are in the forward position.

ARMRESTS: Drop side arms which are covered with foam filled cushion. To operate, the armrests must be lifted and a knob pulled out before dropping the armrest down.

LEGRESTS: Elevating one piece legrest on a ratchet mechanism operated by two side levers. Detachable cushion. Cushion is slightly contoured to prevent legs from slipping sideways. The legrest can be positioned back between the front castors to allow easier transfers from the front.
Options: Deluxe adjustable legrest with footrest.

CASTORS: Standard: Front castors are 125mm precision bearing with directional lock. Rear castors are 125mm precision bearing with total braking.
Options: Base with 317mm rear tyres, 175mm MCP front castors and braking system. Stainless steel base for use in areas of potential corrosion.

MECHANISM: The tilt in space recline is operated by releasing the brake on the pushing handle and the chair lowered or raised to required position. The raising action is assisted by a gas strut. Legrest position is adjusted independently.
