Short Description
A mat which can be placed at the side of a bed to reduce the impact of a fall by the bed user. Has warning tape on the outside edge for safety. The mat is also supplied with a laminated warning card to warn staff that the mat is in position. The mat folds up for storage behind the bed head. Two models are available.

SAFETY: When using an adjustable height bed, the bed should be positioned at the lowest height (ie height of 430mm from the floor or lower). The safety rail on the same side as the Bed Fall Mat should be removed.
CLEANING: Mediflextra Cover: Wipe or hose clean.
Vinyl Cover: Unzip cover for hand or machine washing.
Models
Two models are available which vary in the materials used:
Item 462 - has a water resistant, heat sealed Mediflextra Cover and is designed for infection control conditions. The mat consists of three layers of foam which makes it firm enough to walk upon, but soft enough to cushion a fall.
Item 462S - has a wipeable vinyl sewn cover. Fluid may penetrate the stitching. The mat has only one layer of foam inside which will protect in the case of a fall but is more spongy to walk upon.
