Short Description
A foam and water mattress designed to improve comfort and to help prevent pressure sores when the person is lying in bed. Suitable for individuals at high risk of developing pressure sores. Available in single size only.

FEATURES: Three foam cushions housed in PVC vinyl bags fit inside the frame and are each filled with up to 20 litres of water. A fungicide/bacterioside is added to the water. An air filled bag is available to use instead of a waterbag, to suit Fowler/Angled backrests.
Lap welded seams to extend the life of the product.
Retains the user's warmth by insulating them from the water
Unlike a waterbag, the air filled bag does not "flow down hill" when placed on an angle backrest.
COVER: The Nylex Mediflex vinyl cover fully encloses the water bags and frame and is held in place with a zipper. The cover is water resistant and is fire, urine and stain resistant. It also has a 30mm provides insulation by having a 30mm layer of foam.
OPTIONS: Also available with air cushion instead of a water cushion at the head end, to suit beds with a "Fowler" or angled backrest.
PEOPLE USEFUL FOR: People who spend extended periods in bed and/or who are at high risk of developing pressure sores.
SAFETY: The mattress should not be used with a heater.
CLEANING: Fully washable.
