Short Description
Unidown is a range of siliconised fibre filled mattress overlays to improve comfort and provide some pressure relief for people at low risk of developing pressure sores. There are two models: Unidown Basic and Unidown complete. Available in a single size only.

More Details
MATERIALS: Polyester silicon fibre that minimises shear forces and provides soft, comfortable protection.

FEATURES: Fibres are in chanels so that it does not catch in one area and remains evenly distributed in overlay. Even after excessive laundering, the fibre resists flattening and clumping.

COVER: Unidown Basic: The cotton cover is treated with Proban, resulting in a heat retardant fabric. The cover has stitched seams and is not water resistant.

Unidown Extra: The removeable Dartex cover is waterproof, vapour permeable, fire retardant and has two way stretch. The seams are heat sealed. The removed cover may be machine washed or autoclaved as required.

PEOPLE USEFUL FOR: People at low risk of developing pressure sores.

COMMENTS: - Cosy and soft for people with tender and fragile skin (eg elderly people)
- Fire retardant and non-allergenic.
- Not suitable for those who are at high risk of developing pressure sores the mattress provides more comfort qualities than pressure relief.
- The water resistant cover with heat sealed seams is suitable for those with incontinence.

CLEANING: The mattress can be fully laundered.

Models
There are two models:
1) Unidown Basic: is a cotton covered mattress overlay, filled with silicone coated polyester fibre.

2) Unidown Extra: is a siliconised fibre filled mattress overlay, that has a Dartex cover that is water resistant and has side seams that are welded (not stitched) giving full protection for use with people who are incontinent.

The overlays are available in a single size.
