Short Description
An extra wide, electrically operated, alternating air replacement mattress designed for larger users. The mattress consists of two layers of cells. The top layer of cells alternates to provide pressure relief. The mattress has a vapour permeable cover.

STRUCTURE: Two layers of reinforced, horizontal air cells. Top layer alternates and bottom layer does not alternate. The top three cells are static for head support.
CONTROLS: Push button controls for level of pressure and cycle time are situated on the pump.
BATTERIES: The mattress system features a battery backup which can sustain the mattress functions for up to three hours.
FEATURES: A transport mode allows air to be trapped within mattress to allow transportation.
An audible alarm indicates when the mattress is operating on battery power.
COVER: Vapour permeable, water resistant polyurethane impregnated material.
OPERATION: The mattress has three operation modes:
1) Alternating - the top layer of cells alternate in a 1:2 ratio. Cycle time can be adjusted between five minutes and 30 minutes.
2) Static - allows a continuous pressure level
3)Patient Care - inflates all cells to maximum levels to facilitate patient care.
SAFETY: An audible alarm indicates when the mattress is operating on battery. CPR relase valve allows rapid release of air.

Caution
All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
