Short Description
The Primo is an electrically operated low air loss mattress replacement. The inbuilt pressure sensor automatically adjusts upward support pressures according to user weight and position, re-distributing air in order to provide continuous low pressure beneath the user. The supplier states that the mattress is suitable for people at medium to high risk of skin breakdown. Available in single size only.

STRUCTURE: The bed consists of a foam base that contains the vario pressur sensor. The base is beneath a one piece air filled mattress comprising 15 horizontal cells made of high stretch polyurethane material.
ATTACHMENT: No specific attachment method - mattress is placed on top of bed base.
PUMP/CONTROLS: Separate portable mains powered pump/control unit.
The "Vario" sensor detects the downward force by the user under the sacrum, and transfers the information to the mattress cushions in order to adjust the pressure. It adjust individual cell pressures automatically, by equalising the pressures between the sensor and the mattress cushions offering a dynamic and continous control of low pressures for the user.
COVER: The "Protex" cover is waterproof, breathable and bacteria-resistant.
SAFETY: Rapid deflation of the air mattress is possible to provide a firm surface for CPR, by turning the CPR Rapid Deflation Valve clockwise one quarter turn.
CLEANING: The Protex cover may be wiped down by hand with soapy water. It is treated with Activfresh which gives an anti-bacterial effect.
MAINTENANCE: All electrically operated air mattresses require regular servicing. Refer to the user manual for further instructions in this regards.
