Short Description
An inflatable air mattress overlay made from strong PVC waterbed fabric. The mattress has 4 chambers of air which self adjust with the users body weight and movement. Suitable for people at low risk of pressure sores. Available in single size only.

STUCTURE: The mattress is designed to minimise the risk of pressure sores and to increase and prolong comfort. The mattress uses four air chambers that displace the air in different controlled directions.
The design of the baffles restricts the speed of airflow. The outer surface presents as a smooth surface when the overlay is reversed.
ATTACHMENT: Single layer flaps of plastic material are joined to each end of the overlay so that they can be tucked under the (regular) mattress at the foot and head to hold the overlay in position particularly when the user is in the sitting position.
COVER: this overlay does not have a cover
PEOPLE USEFUL FOR: People at low risk of developing a pressure sore. May also be useful for increasing comfort for those who experience surface pain because of an over firm mattress.
CLEANING: can be wiped down with warm soapy water. Can also be hosed down if necessary.
MAINTENANCE: air needs to be added to the mattress periodically. This is done by attaching a hand pump to the valve on the mattress. Air can be removed by uncapping the valve and applying pressure to the mattress.
