AS 3954.1-1991 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:-
*Specifies design, construction and installation requirements for driving
controls that allow vehicles to be driven by drivers with physical
disabilities. Also specifies performance requirements and tests to be
carried out after a driving control has been installed in a vehicle.
*Types of driving controls covered include hand controls, pedal extensions, accelerators for the left foot, extensions of hand-operated controls and steering wheel attachments. Does not cover electromechanical-type controls.
AS 3954.2-1991 HAND CONTROLS - Product Requirements:-
*To be used in conjunctions with AS 3954.1. The standard covers hand controls specifically and performance tests are required to be conducted with the hand controls mounted in a test rig.
