Short Description
Smartcare provides a service for people who require ongoing assistance on outings. The person is accompanied and assisted, where necessary, by a health professional for the duration of the outing.
An outing may include attending appointments, social functions or wherever they wish to go. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the Sydney metropolitan region. It includes country visits.

For ease of budgeting, SmartCare offers a standard rate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day excepting Good Friday and Christmas Day when 100% surcharge applies.
$78 per hour, minimum call out 1 1/2 hours, $20 per hour per additional person.
More Details
* The minimum service is one and one half hours call out
* The service is primarily for people in wheelchairs and aged / frail people who require assistance. It fills the gap between an ambulance and a wheelchair taxi.
* Clients are transported in a wheelchair accessible van with a hydraulic lift.
* Outings may include hospital pre admission / admissions / discharges and specialist appointments, weddings, funerals etc
* The service is available to people living at home or in a hostel, assisted living establishment or nursing home.
* All operators hold a minimum qualification of Certificate III Assistant in nursing.
* This is a non emergency community service.
