Short Description
Merrylands Independent Living is a residential program for adults with physical disabilities who want to learn to live more independently. Residents live in a low rent, modern purpose built villa accommodation and meet regularly with staff to identify individual goals and plan their future accommodation. It is a program of Northcott.

. The residents live in one bedroom villa units. There are 5 units in the complex.
. Group and individual programs in living skills and personal development are available to residents. Living skills training includes:
- cooking
- shopping
- budgeting and paying bills
- managing personal care
- learning how to access the community
. Residents are able to attend part time work, TAFE or other community programs during their stay at Merrylands.
. Staff are on site Monday - Friday 9 -5 to coordinate and implement programs.
