Installation
Installation
. Ensure the handle is positioned on a clean and dry surface
. Position handle to a flat, rigid and smooth surface (not over grouting if positioned on bathroom wall)
. Apply pressure to the handle while pushing the latches down
. Apply force to check the handle is securely attached.
Removal
. Release both latches
. Slide fingertip under rubber seal at each end, if necessary, to release suction.
Factors To Consider
These rails use suction to maintain their position and hold on the wall. If placed onto tiles, this will only be as strong as the glue holding the tile. Caution should be taken if using these grabrails as it is unlikely they will be as secure as those that use mechanical fixings to suitably structured walls (as are recommended by AS1428.1 2001 in this situation).
The suction cups need to be mounted on smooth, air tight surfaces including some tiles, steel and porcelain. Refer to supplier instructions to ensure safe and proper installation.
