Short Description
A tactile ground surface indicator in the form of a clay paver for outdoor applications. These pavers must be inset into the surrounding ground surface to ensure that the paver is flush adjacent ground surface.

Warning - with raised disks or domes
Directional - with raised lines or ridges
Available in tan or gold to contrast with surrounding area of standard pavers also available in tan or gold.
Suitable for outdoor use in dry and wet conditions
Installation
These tiles must be installed professionally and used only as tactile ground surface indicators. Installation must be in accordance with requirements specified in AS1428.4.
When installed in existing flooring, a set down must be created to ensure that tile base is flush with surrounding ground surfaces.

Compliance with relevant Standards is indicated by written certification that a product has been tested and assessed as compliant with specified Australian Standards. Purchasers are advised to check with the supplier or manufacturer of this item as to its compliance with relevant Australian Standard(s).
Tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI) should comply with the current edition of the Australian Standard AS1428.4 - Design for access and mobility Part 4: Tactile Indicators. This standard provides specifications on the form of TGSI and on their installation. Refer to this standard to determine the luminance contrast required between the TGSI and the surrounding ground surface and for installation details including width, length and location for a wide range of applications.
The Building Code of Australia specifies in what situations TGSI must be installed. To comply with the BCA the installation must be in full compliance with the relevant sections of the current AS1428.4.
