. Different types of copyholders:-
- Desk top copy holders sit on top of the desk so can be placed where needed and either have a fixed tilt or are tilt-adjustable.
- Clamp to the desk and have flexible arms which are jointed so that the copyholder can be easily moved to the desired height, distance and angle.
- Fixes to the side of the computer monitor / VDU to hold paper at the same level as the VDU screen.
- The base plate sits under the monitor and a jointed arm enables the copyholder to be positioned where required.
. Copyholders usually come with a linefinder - a horizontal bar which is used to indicate the line currently being typed - this can be manually
adjustable or electrically adjustable by use of foot pedal. Magnifying line finders may be offered as an optional extra.
. Line of sight copyholders locate the copy between the screen and keyboard permitting the eyes to scan from text to screen to keyboard without having to turn the head.
