Short Description
The Big Buddy Button is a large heavy duty switch with an activation surface that comes in a range of colours and designs. Threaded brass sleeves on the base allow the unit to be fixed to a compatible base plate or mount.

Fixing and Mounting
* The base has pre drilled screw holes for mounting onto a compatible mount or mounting plate.
* A slip resistant base piece can attach to the bottom of switch.

* Plain Style, red, green, white, yellow, pink, purple and black

Note:Special switches can be used to control many things - from a toy to a television set, computer or communication device. A selection of switches of different sizes and shapes and with different methods of activation are available.

Method Of Use
* Suitable for people who hit a switch with a lot of strength.
* The Buddy Button requires a force of 100g at the edges and 200g in the centre to activate the switch.

Factors To Consider
* The brightly coloured activating surface provides a clearly visible target for activation.
* Light pressure is required for activation at the sides of the upper activating surface.
* The Buddy Button switch can be activated using fingers, arm, leg or other body movements. The switch can be positioned out of the user's line of vision, as the loud click feedback will alert the user that the switch has been activated.
* In noisy environments or if the user has difficulty hearing the click, the tactile feedback provided by the switch movement can assist with detecting that the switch has been activated.
* More pressure (approximately double) is required when pressing at the centre of the upper activating surface than at the side edges. This may make the switch difficult to activate for users with limited movement range or strength.
* The low profile design may allow access to the upper activating surface within a smaller range of movement.
* The smooth edges on the activating surface reduces the risk of skin damage on activation.
* The Buddy Button switch can be secured to a stable surface with e.g hook and loop tape to aid switch stability during activation.
