POINTS TO CONSIDER:
TYPE:
. Thermal; Printout is on chemically treated paper, which changes colour when
it is heated. Comes in rolls and is generally more expensive per page than
plain paper. This paper has a tenancy to curl, making it difficult to
handle. An anti-curl system is available.
. Inkjet; Ink is squirted onto page. Prints onto normal paper. Requires
replacement ink cartridges.
. Laser; Similar printing method to laser printers and photocopiers. Requires
replacement toner cartridges. Prints onto plain paper.
BUTTONS:
. Are buttons clearly labelled with contrasting print?
. One touch memories make it quicker and easier to dial, certain buttons can
be programmed to provide one touch dialling.
AUTO SHEET FEEDER:
. How many sheets can be loaded at a time.
. How easy is it to load the paper.
VOICE STORAGE:
. Do you require an answering machine to be combined with the fax machine?
