More Details
This wireless emergency pendant comes as a "Self install Kit" that comprises a wireless pendant and cordless phone

Transmitter Unit
A small lightweight pendant can be worn at all times. It is water resistant so can be worn in the shower (but not the bath).
The Pendant offers full 2 way talk and also acts as a 2 way hands free phone. By pressing the button, it can be used to answer telephone calls.
Wireless range of approximately 50 metres

Receiver Unit
The Caremate DECT cordless phone is the base unit that sends the alarm to the nominated carers and the Care Centre. It may be used just like any other cordless phone, and compliments the use of the Pendant.
It is connected to the home phone socket and power.
Features:
Caller ID display
Hands free / group talking and listening
Vivid colour screen
Charges on the base unit that also dials the emergency calls

Monitoring Options
Initially calls are handled by experienced triage staff. Registered nurses and doctors are available for escalation where required. If the situation is an emergency it is more likely the appropriate emergency service will be called and followed through.

The system can be used anywhere there is a phone line (everywhere) and the caller ID of the person automatically displays the persons information before the operator picks up the phone

The care centre holds pertinent medical information as provided by the client. This information is viewed by nursing staff and appropriate action can be taken from that. The location of any keys and relatives, carers is clearly recorded.

The Care Centre is located in Sydney and is capable of service on a national basis

Testing Procedure
There is a regular test process. The operator (system user) is requested to test the unit as a minimum on a monthly basis. Also the Care centre will call the person if they have not tested the unit in regular intervals

Only one model is available

Options

Method Of Use
By pressing the Assistance button on the pendant, the Caremate automatically attempts to call the nominated carers (family or friends). If for some reason there is no contact with the carers, Caremate automatically connects the caller to their 24 hour, 7 day Care Centre for assistance. The Care Centre will automatically register who the caller is so they can provide assistance (even if the caller cannot speak).
