The receiver makes a bell sound when the switch connected to the transmitter is pressed.
The receiver comes in two types: a battery operated unit which may be carried by a carer, or a mains operated unit which plugs into a 240v, power outlet.
The transmitter is a small portable battery operated device with a range of about 30 metres.
