Short Description
TADNSW offers a rural bike clinic service to create more opportunities for children with special needs in rural NSW, to ride bicycles with their peers. They modify two wheeler bikes and make minor modifications to three wheelers. Each client is initially assessed by a physiotherapist. Therapists from anywhere in NSW can request that a clinic be held in their area.

Modifications
. Bikes - may include trainer wheels, foot cups, pull handle, high riser bars to support attachments such as thoracic supports, hip stabiliser, padded backplate etc
. Trikes / Dinkies - may include a bucket seat, foot cups etc. Where a larger trike needs adapting, the need may be referred to the trike manufacturer.

NOTE: Bike / trike users need to have the appropriate leg movement

Bike Clinics
Therapists supply information about the children needing adapted bicycles, such as age, size type of disability etc. TAD then brings a suitable range of samples for the children to try. Each child is assessed using the sample equipment. This will generally include the basic bike to be bought by the parents, plus extra features such as modifications listed above.
