Short Description
A range of recumbent trikes with a 2 front / 1 rear wheel layout and low centre of gravity. They are designed to be ridden by people of all ages and abilities. Trikes can be manually operated, battery powered or petrol driven. Several models are available: solo, tandem and hand propelled, including models customised for special needs. Most models are foot propelled.

Greenspeed builds hand trikes, tandem trikes with hand cranks at either end, solar assisted trikes, battery assisted, petrol assisted trikes, racing trikes, fully faired trikes, load carrying tricycles, trailers, upright trikes, short wheel base bikes, trikes for people with only one arm or no arms, and so on. They also build children's trikes, and trikes for heavier riders (up to 200kg).
. Hammock style seat made from open weave material. It is laced with elastic cord to insulate the rider from road shock.
. Leg Length Adjustment is achieved via a Telescopic boom.
. Standard Fittings: Rear mudguard, Rack, Safety Flag.
. Recumbent position supports the whole body, allows greater power through the pedals, and cuts down air resistance (less effort required compared to conventional bike).
. Very stable (which also eliminates the danger of going over the handle bars compared to conventional bikes).
. Can be difficult to get on/off the trike.
. Because the trike is low to the ground it may be difficult for other
vehicles to see it (though it is supplied with a safety flag).
Method of Use of foot propelled trike: The individual sits on the trike in a recumbent position (sitting low to the ground with their back supported by the mesh in a semi reclined position). The trike is propelled by pedaling through the legs as per any other bike but in a "lying" position. The hands hold two vertical bars near the front wheels which are used to steer the trike, apply the brakes, and change the gears (via the thumbs).

Eight standard models of trikes are available as well as one model of a hand trike (propelled by the hands). These are:
. CHILD'S TRIKE GT16/16: standard as a seven speed and recommended for around 10 years old up to height size of approx 152cm.
. ADULT COMMUTER TRIKE GT20/20: standard 21 speed.
. TOURING TRIKE GTR20/20 : standard 72 speed
. SPORTS TOURER GTS20/20: standard 54 speed, Cro Mo 4130 aircraft tubing, lightweight wheels.
. TANDEM TOURING TRIKE : standard 72 speed, twin hydraulic disc brakes.
. TOURING/TRAVEL TRIKE GTO20/20: standard 72 speeds
. RACE TRIKE GLR16/19: 18 SPEEDS, lightweight frame and wheels
. TANDEM / SOLO CONVERTIBLE TRIKE GTV20/20: 72 speeds, twin hydraulic disc brakes.
. HAND TRIKE GTH20/20: 48 speeds with wide range
