Short Description
This vehicle wheelchair restraint is a knobless system allowing one handed operation. It is compact, low profile and secures with a slide n click operation with a positive lock indicator. Automatic retractors eliminate loose straps on the van floor.

Components
. PLI-Positive Lock Indicator - only available on this product. It provides another degree of reliability for the operator.
. J-Hook design - to eliminate right or left directions. Enables retractor to be hooked to mobility aid with just a quarter turn left or right.
. Foot release lever - for easier tension release
. Securing Retractors swivel through 360 degrees - to accommodate chairs of various widths. These will will automatically take up slack if mobility aid moves during travel.
. Interchangeable retractors - All securing retractors are the same in design, size and shape to avoid confusion in placement.

Floor anchor points
A range of floor attachment points is available : either tracking or floor pockets. Tracking can be fitted above or recessed into the floor.

Wheelchair restraint
The restraint system has four points of attachment on the wheelchair, two at the front and two at the rear. The wheelchair is secured to the vehicle by four automatically retracting webbing straps. The four webbing straps feature red release levers.

Occupant restraint
This restraint system is used in conjunction with the adjustable and retractable lap sash belt.

Wheelchair seating insert
Should an insert be used in the wheelchair, separate insert restraint belts are required for the insert.

Factors To Consider
The webbing should be checked regularly for signs of wear or fraying. Nicks greater than 1mm necessitates replacement. The product must be replaced immediately after it has been worn during a collision. No restraint system is considered safe to use with the occupant of a scooter travelling while sitting in the scooter. The occupant must transfer to a normal vehicle seat for the journey.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
The installation of floor plates must be inspected by an RTA certified engineer who provides a report. Training must be provided by the supplier in the use of the restraint system. An instruction book must be provided as well as written instructions displayed in the vehicle into which the system has been fitted.

Standards
Specific Australian Standards or other Standard(s) may be applicable for materials, manufacturing processes, or installation of some types of equipment. Compliance with relevant Standards is indicated by written certification that a product has been tested and assessed as compliant with specific Standards. Purchasers are advised to check with the supplier or manufacturer of this item as to its compliance with relevant Standard(s).

Meets SAEJ2249 - Successfully crash tested with surrogate chair. Meets all SAEJ2249, ISO10542, FMVSS 209,302,210,222, CMVSS 209, CSA Z605, AS2596 and ADA requirements. Crash tested at 30 mph at 20g's.
