More Details
This modification can be done to either a brand new vehicle as a complete package or an existing vehicle if it is a compatible model.

FLASHCAB
The rear compartment has been modified:
. The roof has been raised providing maximum visibility for the wheelchair occupant
. The reinforced floor is at a low level as the petrol tank has been
relocated and optional LPG is fitted.
. A permanently fixed fold down platform ramp folds out from the rear of the vehicle. The rear vehicle door lifts up and forms a verandah which can act as protection from the weather whilst loading or unloading.
. The ramp forms a gradient of 1:4 for assisted or independent loading.
. The wheelchair and occupant are secured with a lap-sash style restraint and electronic front restraints.
Clear height on entrance into vehicle: 1450 mm
Ramp design:
The ramp is constructed of heavy duty steel and is counter balanced making it easy to fold and unfold one handed. Locking bolts keep it in position.
The folded ramp forms the rear body section of the vehicle.
The ramp and vehicle compartment floor is covered in marine carpet which will cope with water and heavy cleaning.
Standard features:
. Automatic transmission
. Air conditioning
. Power steering
. 4 speaker radio / cassette
. Good visibility for the wheelchair occupant whilst maintaining seating
for four passengers and the ease and convenience and safety of driving a station wagon. Attractive, steamlined appearance.
. Manufacturer arranges relevant RTA inspections, testing and compliance plate issue.

FLASHE
This vehicle features a rear access ramp, raised roof, lowered floor, reconstructed rear side and internal panels, and added windows in the wheelchair carrying area. The wheelchair and occupant are secured with Kinedyne and electronic reel lap sash style restraints. The vehicle is fitted with automatic transmission, air conditioning and power steering as standard.

Models
. Ford Falcon Flashcab
. Mazda Metro 121- 2

Standards

The height of the vehicle or the height of the vehicle plus the hoist and folded wheelchair on the roof should be less than 2200mm to enter an off street car park.
· Vertical clearance above an accessible car parking space - minimum 2500mm. The vertical height required to unload / load a wheelchair on/off the vehicle roof should be less than 2500mm.
