Short Description
A rigid frame self propelled wheelchair with a manually operated stand up hydraulic mechanism. It has a rigid magnesium frame with titanium tubes. The wheelchair features a reclining and folding backrest and an adjustable depth seat. It is available with six seat widths. A range of options is available. The wheelchair is custom made.

* The gas struts are adapted to the measurements of the user (height and weight). This reduces the effort required to stand up to less than 3kg per arm.

Safety Features

This is two hand operated using gas springs (struts) to assist standing.

This is a scripted wheelchair. The supplier takes the measurements and sends them to France where the chair is made.

Factors To Consider
Caution should be exercised prior to trial or purchase of a Stand Up wheelchair. Medical clearance by a doctor is recommended before standing. Assessment of the person's cognitive ability to safely use the Stand Up wheelchair is an important consideration. There may be concerns for a person who has not stood for a period of time in relation to

* Orthopaedic disorders
* Brittle bones
* Osteoporosis
* Hip, knee and ankle contractures
* Assessment by a physiotherapist is also recommended before trial or purchase of a Stand Up wheelchair.

All wheelchairs require regular maintenance. Refer to User Manual for specific details.
