Statis Overlays are designed to provide:
. A more even distribution of pressure, particularly on vulnerable areas
. A cool, comfortable and well ventilated support, that helps prevent skin maceration
. Reduction in shear forces, minimising friction
. Freedom of movement for patient, promoting feeling of 'well being'
Structure
Statis is a hollow core antidecubitus fibre with qualities which help to combat the problems leading to the development of a pressure ulcer.
The fibres are silicone coated to reduce friction and saturation by fluids.
The overlays are stitched in channels
Attachment These overlays do not attach to their support surface
Cover All of the fibre overlay covers have welded seams, to ensure there is no ingress of fluid into the inner core.
Combi Pack covers:-
. Vapour Permeable Waterproof Cover - made from semi disposable lightweight soft film which is impervious to water, breathable and flame retardant when used in conjunction with the Statis Bed Pad
. Full Waterproof Cover - bacteriostatic, durable, light, has quick fastening poppers and provides complete protection. Is flame retardant when used in conjunction with the Statis Bed Pad
. VP Plus Cover - envelope design, durable, bacteriostatic, breathable, fully waterproof. Is flame retardant when used in conjunction with the Statis Bed Pad
Drawsheets (Code 31-708-00) are available as a pack of 2 lightweight breathable two way stretch water resistant sheets.
Models
BED PADS
1) Compact Integral Bed Pad (Code 31-612-FR) is a fibre filled overlay encapsulated by an integral heavy duty breathable two way stretch water resistant cover.
2) Statis Hospital Bed Pad (Code 31-088-FR) is a fibre filled overlay covered with a cotton upper and water-resistant neoprene underside. This is the original Statis product and has been in successful service for 20 years, and is still one of the favourites.
COMBI PACKS
A fibre filled overlay with an all cotton cover, supplied with one of three different waterproof covers.
1) Statis Combi Plus Pack (Code 34-320-FR) is an all cotton combi, supplied with a heavy duty breathable two way stretch water resistant cover. Cover is available separately as Code 31-020-00.
2) Statis Vapacare Combi Pack (Code 34-330-FR) is an all cotton combi, supplied with a lightweight breathable two way stretch water
3) Statis Full Waterproof Combi Pack (Code 34-331-FR) is an all cotton combi, supplied with a heavy duty waterproof cover. Cover is available separately as Code 31-021-00.
Statis Crib Pad (Code 31-096-FR) is a fibre filled pad covered with a cotton upper and water resistant neoprene underside.
STRETCHER PACKS
A fibre filled stretcher overlay with an all cotton cover, supplied with one of two different waterproof covers.
1) Statis VP Plus Stretcher Pack (Code 31-102-FR) is an all cotton overlay, supplied with a heavy duty breathable two way stretch water resistant cover. Cover is available separately as Code 31-019-00.
2) Statis Full Waterproof Stretcher Pack (Code 31-104-FR) is an all cotton overlay, supplied with a heavy duty water resistant cover. Cover is available separately as Code 31-047-00.
Statis Full Waterproof Operating Table Pack (Code 31-153-FR) is a fibre filled, all cotton overlay designed to fit on an Operating Table. The pack comes complete with a heavy duty water resistant cover. Cover is available separately as Code 31-013-00.
Statis Sacral / Torso Pad (Code 31-302-00) a fibre filled pad, covered with a cotton front and water resistant neoprene backing.
