Benchfence

Short Description
A removable barrier for kitchen benches or cooktops. The barrier helps to prevent children seeing what is on a bench or cooktop and pulling hot items onto themselves. The barrier also stops liquids and foods falling off the bench edge preventing scald burns to adults and minimising slippery floors. The fence piece can be easily removed when not in use.

MATERIALS :
Edgepiece: High strength aluminium
Fencepiece: High density polyethylene
Coverpiece: Rubberised plastic

COLOURS :
Edgepiece: white or anodized silver
Fencepiece: white only

COMPONENTS :
1. An edgepiece which is made from aluminium and adheres to the bench edge using a very strong double sided tape.
2. A fencepiece which is made from high density polyethylene. The fencepiece is positioned in the edgepiece to create the safety barrier. It can be easily removed when not in use.
3. A coverpiece which is made from rubberised plastic. The coverpiece is for optional use in the edgepiece when the fencepiece has been removed. Prevents food collecting in the edgepiece.
4. Pre-applied adhesive tape
5. Installation instructions

COMMENTS :
. Can be cut to length using a sharp knife and a metal blade hacksaw. Cut edges should be lightly filed until smooth.
. Can be fitted around corners


Installation
Step 1
Thoroughly clean along bench edge. Remove all grease and/or surface polishes. Finally wipe with an alcohol-based cleaner and allow to dry.

Step 2
Remove adhesive tape backing strip from the edgepiece and press the edgepiece firmly into place on the benchtop edge. Clamp into place overnight.

Step 3
Fit the coverpiece or fencepiece to the edgepiece slot. Installation is now complete.
