Protea Shower Transer Seat

Short Description
A folding wall mounted shower seat that swivels over the shower tray. It features a plastic slatted seat and backrest and lift up arms. The seat locks in transfer and showering positions. One size only. The seat folds when not in use.

. Stainless steel construction
. Allows easy transfer onto the seat from outside the shower cubicle
arms can be moved out of the way to assist sideways transfer .
. Folds away to allow others to use the shower
. A simple and cost effective alternative to replacing an existing shower cubicle with level access facilities.
. It is ideally fitted to a shower cubicle which has a curtain rather than a shower door.

Locking Positions
. The Protea Seat is set to lock so that the side of the seat is parallel to the wall when the seat is in the transfer position.
. An alternative locking position can be set so that the side of the seat is at a 12 degree angle to the wall. This allows the seat to avoid an obstruction such as a door frame.

Shower Cubicle size
. A shower cubicle measuring 900mm x 900mm allows easy transfer of users into the shower using the Protea seat. For smaller cubicles use the guidelines on the myco uk website or contact the supplier to determine the minimum sizes

Useage
Swivel the seat to face the outside the shower cubicle the locking mechanism will automatically engage. Use the arm rests as support during transfer onto the seat. Release the locking mechanism and swivel smoothly over the shower tray. The locking mechanism will automatically engage in the showering position.


Installation
. The Protea Seat requires professional installation, it must be installed on a solid (brick or blockwork) wall.
. It can be installed on left or right hand wall of shower. It is supplied with a wall mounting bracket (600mm x 200mm).
. A wall support frame is first attached to the wall using appropriate fixings. The Protea Seat is then mounted onto the wall support frame at a height suitable for the user.
