Toilet

Short Description
A range of metal access signs that include symbols (including international access symbol), braille and words. The standard range have raised symbols with a blue or silver matt background and are fixed to the wall. Signs can be customised.

The standard signs have white symbols on a blue background, or black symbols on a silver background.

The signs have a self adhesive backing, or can be screwed to the wall.

Requirements for the installation of signage in public places are given in the following standards:
The Building Code of Australia (BCA) specifies signage requirements in Section D3.6 - Identification of accessible facilities, services and features. The BCA details where accessible signage is required.
The Australian Standard "AS1428.4 - Design for access and mobility - Part 4 - Tactile indicators" provides specifications on the form and placement of signs required to be tactile, Braille or audio.
The Australian Standard "AS1428.1 - design for access and mobility - Part 1 - General requirements for access - new building work" provides specifications for the form of signs including the International symbol of access and the International symbol for deafness.
