Short Description
An emergency call system which provides a radio controlled, portable
pendant style transmitter designed to link in with an existing hard wired system in a residential or healthcare facility. Many hard wired call systems in hospitals or retirement villages have fixed point wall mounted call buttons. This unit enables the person at risk to carry the transmitter at all times and to activate the emergency call when required.

More Details
It has two components:

Transmitter (calling unit):
A portable device which can be worn around the neck or pinned to the clothes. When the button on it is pressed a radio signal is sent to the receiver unit. An audio signal sounds on the pendant to show it has been activated.

Receiver (alarm unit):
This is installed next to the intercom system and is connected across the communication cabling. The unit receives the radio signal and activates the call bell system as if the person had pressed the hard wired call button on the wall. It has 2 lights: A red 'power on' light and a green 'alarm activated' light. It also has a reset button on the front of the unit to release the alarm once assistance has been provided.

Power:
Receiver - mains powered. Transmitter - battery powered.

Installation:
The receiver unit has double sided tape affixed to its rear surface. This unit is positioned near to the intercom unit in the resident's room. It needs then to be wired into the existing nurse system. The receiver unit needs to be connected to a power supply nearby.
